PoolBar London is an excited startup with a strong concept but an evolving brand vision. While they knew they wanted to create a suncream brand, they needed a distinctive visual identity and strategic positioning to stand out in a highly competitive market.
Through an iterative creative process, we refined the brand's direction drawing inspiration from 1970s Palm Springs nostalgia while incorporating a "Made in London" modern edge. This fusion of retro luxury and contemporary style positioned PoolBar London as a sophisticated and memorable suncream brand. Our approach combined in-depth market research, creative exploration, and collaborative discussions to craft a unique digital experience that was both visually compelling and strategically sound.

The Approach
I began by researching nightlife and lifestyle trends to position PoolBar as a standout venue with a strong visual identity. The branding focused on high-energy, nightlife-inspired visuals neon colours, bold type, and confident graphic elements that translated seamlessly across print and digital.
For the website, I designed a clean, mobile-first user experience centred around key actions like booking tables, checking events, and exploring menus. Every touchpoint was crafted to reflect the venue’s personality while remaining intuitive and accessible.
Alongside the digital design, I created supporting graphics for social media, on-site signage, and marketing materials—ensuring consistency across the brand’s full ecosystem.
The Challenge
The real challenge of this project was to break the mould not just of nightlife branding, but of how leisure brands present themselves digitally. PoolBar London didn’t want to follow the typical path of glossy-but-generic hospitality websites or safe, minimalistic design. Instead, it needed to feel like a cultural statement: fun, unapologetic, and highly shareable.
At its core, the challenge was similar to those faced in the suncream and wellness market where so many products are indistinguishable in look and feel. PoolBar wanted to do what those disruptive brands do: stand out visually, build community, and create a memorable experience both online and in-person.
We weren’t just building a venue we were launching a brand with personality, edge, and staying power.
The Outcome
The final product is a striking, high-energy brand that reflects PoolBar London’s bold personality and unique offering. The website is mobile-first, fast-loading, and designed to convert whether that’s booking a table, browsing the menu, or checking out upcoming events.
The branding has been rolled out successfully across digital and print materials, establishing a consistent and confident visual identity that customers instantly recognise. From the neon-inspired logo to the easy-to-navigate site, every detail was designed with purpose.
Since launch, PoolBar London has seen a positive response from both users and stakeholders with increased engagement, strong word-of-mouth, and a growing online following. The brand now stands out in a crowded market, offering something fresh and different in London’s nightlife scene.
